The current version of the Bay Area Saab Club was started in the early 1990's with a steering committee that grew to over 130 members. The club hosted the national Saab convention at SUMMIT 96 in Kirkwood CA in 1996. There was an original club, the WESTERN SAAB CLUB, that formed in the early 1980's and rose out of the INDEPENDENT SAAB REVIEW, with some of our current members having participated back when. Today, BASC provides a forum for owners and enthusiasts stretching from Marin and Sacramento to Tracy and Monterey, with a smattering of members spread even further. We focus our gatherings during the summer months with a variety of opportunities to show and share our Saabs. We are always looking for new members who want to participate or lead an activity... Anyone for a RALLEY?
so... is this the way a Sonett V4 bonnet opens?

The Bay Area Saab Club currently does not publish a newsletter and conducts most of our communication over the Web. We have been somewhat affiliated with the Saab Club of North America and SaabUSA in the past. SCNA publishes NINES magazine and can be reached at http://www.saabclub.com . SCNA is reorganizing: we are listed as a chapter and have clarified that our status is a participating chapter.
